Cálculo da trajetória da pluma de uma chaminé

Abstract

A model for the determination of a plume path emitted by a stack, for gases heavier than air was developed by Ooms and colaborators. This work describes the use of this model by a microcomputer, and presents application examples with outputs in graphic form. The results furnish the plume diameter, the angle between its axis and the horizon, its velocity in the direction of the tangent to the axis, its density and the concentration pf the pollutant, ali of then in function of the distance along the plume roeis, and a drawing representing the stack and the plume. Some suggestions are made for future improvements.
