Projeto industrial reduz poluição Alto Tietê

Abstract

This paper shows the activities developed by CETESB in the Tietê Project, referring to the industrial pollution control. The control methodology adopted by CETESB included: to select the industries to be enforced, to ask the industries to present waste water control plans, to analyze and fix this plans, to follow the implantation of the industrial waste water treatment plants, to analyze the treated effluents and to monitor this effluents. The results achieved up to October of 1994 are presented, showing the attainment of the goals established and the reduction obtained in the emission of organic and inorganic pollution.
