Dispersão de efluentes e os padrões ambientais

Abstract

The dispersion study of an influent of Paraíba do Sul river is presented in this paper. Its present total flow is practically due to the effiuents discharged from two industrial units. This influent, as it is today, was considered, for the purpose of this publication, as one single industrial effiuent, and well known aspects about water monitoring and pollution contrai are discussed based on the study results. The example used shows that the knowledge of some hydrologic data, combined with water quality and effluent standards, as well as with effluent toxicity data can contribute to a better understanding, criticai analysis, review of methodologies and the solution of problems found in receiving water bodies.
