Estudo pedológico reduz impactos da mineração

Abstract

The surface mining is, in general, an actívity which can generate an íntense degradatíon of the environment. lt has a strong disruptive effect on the landscape because it requites the removal of the vegetation, soíl and the waste rocks which lie over the deposit. So, there should be a constant concern of the cientists in order to make the surface mining, always be associated with the reclamation of the mined area. This paper presents a plan for the pedok,gist action in activities of redamàtíon and revegetation of degraded areas by surface miníng. The plan has different stages, ranging from the initial planning and laboratory analysis up to the field experiments. Thís plan can give an entírely científic treatment to the land reclamation in order to protect the environment. lt also can stimulate the adoptíon of techniques which will give favorable conditions to a new development of the fauna and flora of the surface mined lands.
